The camera is water resistant meaning it can even be installed outside weathering all seasons to observe barn animals and events such as calving, wildlife, intruders, etc., both day and night.

It has 12 Infrared LED's (light Emitting Diodes) that switch on automatically when light levels drop below a certain level allowing viewing and filming to continue even in complete darkness. In Infrared mode the picture will be black & white on a color monitor..

The camera has a high resolution of 380 lines and is run off a 12 volt AC power adaptor that comes with the kit.

Here are the Power Requirements.

The camera comes with an AC-DC Adaptor that has an output of 12 volts. This particular adaptor is designed specifically to give the very best power source for the Day/Night "All Weather" Indoor/Outdoor camera.

If you wish to mount the camera indoors, then all you will need to do is bring a 110volt extension cord to the camera location, plug in the 12 volt power adaptor into the extension cord, then plug the power adaptor into the camera. Sweet!

If you wish to mount the camera outdoors, then you will need to properly protect the power adaptor from the elements. Wrapping it may cause it to overheat. Power Adaptors are not recommended for outdoor use. Building a proper housing for it would be required.
